The Intelligent Octopus tariff is the latest Octopus Energy electric vehicle tariff on the market. It gives electric vehicle owners a minimum of 6 hours of super-cheap electricity every night at 10p per kWh. In some ways, the Intelligent Octopus tariff is a mash-up of both the  Octopus Go and Octopus Agile tariffs combined. It is a groundbreaking tariff that could help transform the national grid.

The intelligent Octopus tariff is a beta tariff that is leading the way. It is more than a time-of-use tariff. It is an intelligent tariff that can use excess energy when it is in abundance. Octopus can turn your EV charger off and on remotely.  All you need to do is plug in, select the percentage of charge you need and by when and Octopus will take care of the rest.

Octopus Go is a smart EV tariff that guarantees cheap overnight electricity at 12p / kWh for 4 hours every night(between 12.30 and 4.30 am) and 42.17p per kWh for the remaining 20 hours. The off-peak EV tariff assures EV drivers of reduced motoring.

Octopus Go is designed for customers who can charge their Electric Vehicles at home off-peak. Charging can be done very cheaply overnight keeping costs to around 3p per mile using these electric car tariffs.

The 100% zero-carbon renewable tariff offers 35 hours of off-peak energy per week at 4.5p/kWh (5 hours off-peak between 12-5am GMT daily). The first thing to note about the Electric Drivers Feb 2024 tariff is that while its prices are fixed until 31 January 2024 you can still leave without incurring exit fees,the estimated off-peak unit rate was 15p per kWh with a peak rate of 40.8p per kWh.
